Scott A Irby

August 22, 1974 - March 17, 2021

Scott A. Irby, of Sandusky, heard his call and peaceably transitioned from this life here on earth to his heavenly home, to meet his savior on March, 17, 2021 while on the road as a truck driver.

Scott was born to the union of David Lee and Victoria (Tye) Irby Sr. on August 22, 1974 in Sandusky, Ohio. He grew up and was raised in Sandusky and received his formal education in the Sandusky Public School System graduating in 1992 from Sandusky High. In high school Scott was very athletic in sports, playing baseball for several years and excelling in basketball, which landed himself a position on the Sandusky Blue Streaks Basketball team for 3 years. After graduation Scott went on to further his education enrolling in Ashland University, in Ashland, Ohio. He later returned to his hometown Sandusky, working at several places of employment before landing his dream job for more than 9 years as a licensed CDL drivers by Swift Transportation Trucking Company.

Scott loved spending time with his Family and friends whenever he was off the road enjoying cookouts and good food. While traveling, Scott kept the lines of communication open by utilizing Facebook. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, by reaching out to some young man who wanted to become a trucker driver and walking them through the process. The Good Lord has allowed him to share his knowledge, wisdom and understanding with many, and he sincerely hoped that they had learned, just as much from him, as he had learned from them.

Scott was preceded in death by his twin granddaughters in infancy in March of this year, Auri D. Hill and Nori A. Hill, parents David and Victoria, a twin son Jacoryon K. Irby to his daughter Kaya in infancy, a maternal uncle Sandford “Junie” Turner and maternal grandparents Earl and Christine Tye, paternal grandparents Robert & Ethel Irby Sr., paternal aunt Katherine Irby, paternal uncles Robert (Jerry), George (Jimmy) and William (Ivan) Irby.

Scott leaves to not mourn his passing, but to rejoice in all the precious memories; his loving children Kaya J. Irby, Norwalk, Ohio, Shaki Watts, Rialto, California and granddaughter Shy Irby also from Rialto, California. Scott’s only brother David Lee Irby, maternal aunt and uncle, Miriam and Sanford Tye all of Sandusky, Ohio. His paternal aunts, La Verne Renee (James) Taylor, Anita (Daniel) Hunter, and Elana Irby all of Lorain, Ohio and Marilyn Kelly Irby, Riviera Beach, Florida. One uncle Troy (Lisa) Irby, Sandusky, Ohio, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and long- time community friends.
