Walter Lee Ferguson

May 19, 1951 - March 15, 2021

Walter Lee Ferguson was born to Wilda Mae Ferguson and Prince Kempson Sr. on May 19, 1951 in Cleveland Ohio, but Walter called Kenneth Miles his dad. Walter was the third oldest child out of nine. He attended Cleveland Public Schools where he attained his high school diploma. Walter then joined the Army and became a certified sharp shooter. Later in life Walter married his forever soulmate Saundra D. Ferguson-Brown. In that union they had and raised three beautiful children, but Walter had a total of six, Lenore, Sean, Cori, Mario, Tyler and Dazanae. Walter had eighteen grandkids and four great grandkids.

Walter was well known in Cleveland and Lorain Ohio. Many knew Walter as Buddy Boy, Ferg and even Michael. No matter what alias you knew him as he was always himself. He was silly, talked a gang of trash, but always kept it real. Walter had a love for music, dancing, gambling, cards, dogs and would kill you on the table shooting pool. He was one of Cleveland’s biggest sports fan. Walter was big on family. He loved his family and his family loved him. We all knew that we could call on Ferg for anything.

After a lengthy illness, Walter was called home on Monday, March 15, 2021. He was preceded in death by his mom Wilda Mae, his father Prince Sr, his dad Kenneth, his brother Prince Jr, his brother William, his daughter Lenore and grandson Tyler Jr.

Walter leaves to cherish his memory his children Sean, Cori, Mario, Tyler and Dazanae; his forever soulmate Saundra D. Ferguson-Brown; his siblings Carletta, Magdalene, Veronica, Victoria (Carl, deceased), Kathy, Jerome (Perchel) and Kenneth; a host of many nieces, nephews and close friends.

A public walk-through viewing will be Saturday, March 27, 2021 from 4-6 p.m. at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home.
