Joseph K Charlton Sr

January 2, 1948 - December 30, 2020

Joseph K. Charlton Sr., 72, of Lorain, passed away Thursday, December 30, 2020 in Westlake, Ohio following a sudden illness.

He was born January 2, 1948 in Lorain and was a lifelong resident. He enjoyed playing pool, fishing and basketball, and was a Cleveland Browns fan. He also enjoyed his travels as a coach bus driver across the USA and Canada. He was well liked by so many, including guests, tour guides and co-workers.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Charlton; his children, Anita Johnson, Joseph K. Charlton Jr., Jesse Dee Charlton, Jessica Ivan Bories (Torsten), Jason Ramsey; sisters, Cherry Marshall, Carolyn Davis, Minister Rose Taylor, Natalie Blue (Wayne), Elizabeth Lindsey; brothers, Ronald Charlton (Marsetta), Nathaniel Charlton, Jeremiah Charlton (Gladys), Gerald Charlton (Virginia); a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Dee Charlton Sr.; mother, Geraldine Charlton Holiday; brothers, David Charlton and Charlie Dee Charlton Jr.; sisters, Corrina Charlton Harris and Dorothy Charlton Windham; a grandson, Brandon Charlton.

A walk-through public viewing will be held Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until private family services 11:00 at Living Word Church, 2002 E. 28th St, Lorain. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.

Social distancing, COVD-19 safe practices and wearing a mask are required.
